What is Teen/Adult learn to skate?

Teen/Adult skating is growing in popularity and more and more teens and adults are learning to skate, skating for fitness, and honing their skills.  Whether you are new to skating or looking to get back into skating; Teen/Adult learn to Skate is for you.

When is Teen/Adult learn to skate?

Tuesdays 7:05pm-7:55pm

The season runs from October to mid March. 

Who’s it for?

Our Teen/Adult session is open to 14+ years of age, who are looking to skate recreationally, learn to figure skate, or play hockey.

Who teaches it?

National Coach Certification Program trained professional coaches.

What can you expect?

This session  includes a 15-minute group lesson followed by ice time for independent practice. Skaters on this session have the option of hiring a NCCP Certified club coach for additional private or semi private lessons to help accelerate their skill acquisition. Private coaching must be arranged directly with the coach. Please see the About Us page for coach contact information.

What do you need to participate?

All you need are skates, a CSA-approved hockey helmet, and water. Dress in layers – it will get warm! The CSA Hockey helmet is mandatory until skating proficiency is assessed at CanSkate stage 5. Sticks are not allowed on this session.
